One product that we were heavily influenced by was "the God Father". We felt that this film was able to bring out, everything we wanted to do within an opening scene. It created suspense and an ominous feeling by hiding the Godfathers face. The over the shoulder shot of this dark figure, listening to another man begging for his help, emphasises his power in this situation. The diegetic sound of the cat and the birds singing outside really emphasise the tension within the room. By not including a typical non diegetic background score. The diegetic sound of the dialogue is the main factor, which causes you to feel the emotion within this scene.
