Market/Genre Research By Louis Liburd
In order to make the best decision for our film "suspect" individually we decided to research the statistics of the most watched genres in the UK. The graph below informed that action/thriller genre was the most popular genre of film. These statistics caused us as a group to make a action/thriller movie as it was obvious that it would appeal to the masses. The action accompanied with the thriller element,allowed us to really dig deep and build suspense through out our opening scene.
About me
My name is Louis Liburd, i am an A level student who has just finished his final film. I thought that i would let you guys know a bit about me. I am passionate about and enjoy being behind a camera, it gives me an amazing feeling as i have the power to pause and capture a moment at the click of a button. During the production of our film "suspect" it really brought out a creative feeling that i had never experienced before. It made me realise that i had a passion for directing and shooting films. From this A level course it has led me to be creating my own short movie. I will be creating this film during summer accompanied by a friend who has the same passion for film as me.
Target audience research By Louis Liburd
Our target audience for this production is 15 onwards because we feel that for people to really feel the suspense through out we need to be able to take it a tad bit further than a 12. We will also be using actors that are of that age range, which will allow our audience to really connect with the characters. Plus a lot of people around that age are into action, meaning that our hitman opening scene will hit the nail on the head.

Lighting By Louis Liburd
The lighting for "Suspect" was very important for me, as I believe that is needs to provoke an emotion or feeling towards the audience. The lighting should instantly help build suspense and uncertainty through out scene, as our opening sequence is an action/thriller. I decided to use low key dim lit lighting through out to create an ominous feeling in both scenes. The low key lit lighting accompanied by the diegetic sounds of the computer in the back ground caused the audience to feel uneasy. This method caused the audience to fill in the blanks, making it an even better experience for them. I did the lighting for this film production and i am very proud of the way that it turned out. The reflection of the light bouncing off of the wooden table is very powerful and it makes a bold statement on who you should be focusing on in this scene.
